News
Radar gathers news both from streaming providers, web news and RSS-based feeds. All news are merged and categorized into
country zones. A lot of free financial news providers are defined in Radar when installing. Additional news in form of streaming
news from providers can be added. More than 200 news agencies provides streaming news. Radar will seamlessly merge if you
use more than one streaming provider.
"Hot News" are color coded with a red background and sound alert if preferable while news you have already read are marked
with an alternative color to avoid reading news 2 times.
Most providers support historical news for stocks - The example below depicts news from Microsoft Inc. Radar merges the
sources and present the news historically for the user. Time scope can be defined as well as color indicators for important-
and already read news.

DDE and Data export
Radar provides advanced capability to export data for analysis outside the Workstation application. Portfolio tracking,
strip calculators and risk analysis can all be tracked with the latest tick of the market streaming in
Cut and paste price information from Workstation quotes to Microsoft Excel worksheets, where you can perform further mathematical
calculations updated in real time. Workstation's DDE link continues to update the Excel worksheet as it receives new ticks.
Radar also exports calculated values from within Radar. Meaning that for instance Theoretical calculations from option will
be transferred to Excel as well.
Workstation also contains numerous import and export commands that can be beneficial in sharing data among multiple users
or when merging Workstation data into other external programs.
The data can also be exported directly to a file or and ODBC compliant database source, as seen in the dialog below:

Electronic trading
Trade at multiple brokers and/or exchanges at a click on the mouse. Trading is not dependant from where you get the real-time
feed. Radar users are connected to several trading points at the same time.
Integrated into Radar is a complete state-of-the-art trading machine. All you need to is connect to the Exchange, or if
being on the buy-side - to your broker for routing and execution. Radar connects to a variety of trading gateways for execution.
When trading derivatives Radar will scan and find any buying or selling opportunities automatically and highlight them in
the relevant window. If a highlighted price is clicked an immediate 'fill or kill' takes place at the market.
Point n Click trade
When you point and click on either the bid or offer an order is born, and it will be routed to the default broker or exchange.
Depending on the level of extra information/conditions you want to supply you can choose between several order windows or
no one at all for very fast trading. Embedded in Radar is tick- and lot sizes and via the mouse wheel the correct parameters
are adjusted within a split-second.
Depending on the execution venue above dialog will change according to the conditions and order types the broker offers
Order conditions
In Radar no one can "hunt" your stop losses and take profits. Radar has a build in market spy which monitors your conditional
orders - and react when a condition is met. All logic are held in the program not at your broker.
Transactions
In addition, all orders sent are logged in the Transaction Viewer on a real-time basis. So, unlike conventional trading
platforms, you won't have to wait minutes or longer to find out the status of your orders. You should know instantly. All
it takes is a single glance at your screen to see what your trades and the status of all open orders.
For your convenience, every order logged is color-coded based on the order status (i.e., open positions, failed orders,
trades, etc.). The colors change in real-time as the order status changes.

Calculations & Theoretical pricing
The ability to calculate - and especially calculate very fast is an essential part of Radar. Several instruments like options
and futures, has no meaning unless value are added in form of calculated numbers that give meaning and find the opportunities.
Radar contains all the relevant formulas needed to calculate the correct theoretical price of a given financial instrument.
When it comes to pricing of financial instruments, only highly-skilled numerical specialists, such as those working at SoftCapital,
have sufficient understanding of this science. In Radar all this knowledge has been incorporated into the system. The system
comprises a wide range of models, from the simple formulae of Black & Scholes to advanced mutlivariate models and specialized
models for certain options. You will automatically receive all possible risk values together with the theoretical prices,
and all calculations are carried out at a speed that surprises even the most demanding user. Radar is build to handle massive
updates from electronic markets; the calculations are done in separate threads which means that even if the system is processing;
you will still be able to trade at full speed.
Derivatives settings
You can quickly adjust the theoretical parameters which is necessary for a correct pricing of options and futures. All contracts
can be adjusted quickly as a whole, or more thorough contract by contract to achieve a perfect volatility smile.
Theoretical models
Radar includes all theoretical models. from the simple formulae of Black & Scholes to advanced multivariate models.
